To join the Grand Lodge of Africa, you must:
Be a man of good character
Be at least 21 years old
Believe in a Supreme Being (no specific religion required)
Be able to commit time for meetings and study
Be recommended by at least two members (or undergo an interview process if unknown to current members)
Expression of Interest: Use the “Join” form on our website to express your interest. You will be contacted by a Lodge representative.
Introductory Meeting: Attend an informal meeting where you can ask questions and learn about our principles.
Formal Application: Submit a written application for review.
Background Review: Your character and intentions will be discreetly verified.
Balloting: Lodge members vote on your application.
Initiation: If accepted, you will undergo a solemn initiation ceremony into the First Degree.
You will begin a structured journey through three symbolic degrees:
Entered Apprentice: The foundation of moral and ethical instruction.
Fellow Craft: Development of intellect, skills, and understanding.
Master Mason: Full membership and participation in Lodge affairs.
